The time to migrate your UDS applications is NOW! Most of
the UDS customers have very little time to act, as the Support for UDS for Platforms other
than Solaris and NT will continue only for a limited time.
- UDS (Forté) is now into maintenance mode – meaning there will be no further new
releases and the product will be supported only for a few years. Sun will fully support
the Forte product through September 2006.
- Scalability of applications for future business needs will be affected.
- Maintaining applications with dwindling Forté resources will result in increased
associated costs will be very difficult.
- The support fees for UDS will be increasing in the remaining years .
